- To begin volunteering, please complete the official application through the Diocese of Tucson website. Click the link below:
Volunteer Opportunities within the Diocese of TucsonEnsure that the location is set to: St. Mark the Evangelist – Oro Valley
Complete all required fields on the application. Please do not enter "N/A" unless absolutely necessary.
Important: Your application is valid for only six months, so please respond promptly to all follow-up emails to ensure timely completion of all required steps.Step 2: Safe Environment Training
CMG Connect (Catholic Mutual Group) Access for Volunteers
Once your application has been accepted, you will receive a link from the Diocese of Tucson to complete the Safe Environment Training and Criminal History Check.
Volunteer Requirements via CMG Connect:- View the required training videos.
- Review and acknowledge the Diocese of Tucson's Code of Conduct.
- Review the Guidelines for the Prevention of and Response to Sexual Misconduct.
- Understand the State of Arizona Mandatory Reporting Law.
The process concludes with the electronic signing of an Individual Affirmation, in which the volunteer confirms their understanding of and agreement to the policies of the Diocese of Tucson. These policies, adopted by the parish’s Board of Directors, are essential to preventing harm to minors and vulnerable adults and form a critical part of the Diocese’s Safe Environment Program, as well as compliance with state law. Important: Please save your username and password, as you will be required to renew your Criminal History Check every three years.
Once you have completed this step, please proceed to Step 3.Step 3: Volunteer Fingerprinting Process for the Diocese of Tucson
All volunteers and employees must complete fingerprinting as part of the background check process. This involves two main steps:
Create an AZ DPS Account:Set up your account by following the detailed instructions that have been provided. Visit the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) website. Use the following code when prompted: STA-136.S

Complete Fingerprinting via FIELDPRINT: Use the following code: FPDioceseTucsonFACT — this ensures your information is routed to the correct agency. Carefully read and follow all FIELDPRINT instructions to securely submit your fingerprints.FIELDPRINT INSTRUCTIONSLINK TO SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT WITH FIELDPRINTImportant:Volunteers may not begin ministering or serving in any capacity until full clearance is granted by the Diocese of Tucson’s Department of Human Resources.
